We have been owned by Flat-Coated Retrievers since 1995. Our girls have been from four different kennels and three lineages. Each time we have been looking for something different, but always our ultimate family member. When we began our search in 2019 for a dog that would work with Sharmin as a therapy dog, run with Mark on the lake trails, and be up for all the sports, with luck and long hours of searching, we were matched with Suzie.
Our little yellow-collar girl has been everything we knew we wanted and so much more. We keep trying to live up to her potential. She keeps waking up before sunrise ready for the next BIG adventure.

In Spring 2024 we had the opportunity to have a pick on an Argon litter. Suzie's parents are both Argon dogs, so this was a real honor and pleasure to work directly with Jake Cassaday as he worked with Rachel Hill to evaluate the beautiful litter. The pups were all gorgeous and full of personality. We had listed out our priorities which helped a little. I got to go over each pup nose to tail thanks an early morning flight to Philly and a late return.
Sooo hard! But, in the end, the experts were right. The pup they had picked was my final glorious, sassy-pants, future show champ & rally-girl, and best little sister to Suzie pick. Can't wait for cooler weather to see if she picks up any of Suzie's other sports, but she's showing promise already as a Confo Dog with a Beginner Puppy Sporting Group 1st and two 3rds, Manners 1-3 completed, Trick Dog Novice and Intermediate passed, and puppy visits in Therapy Dog.
