I wanted to take a minute to reflect on this journey. While it's SuzieQ's RACH, so much of it was about seeing that Suzie wanted to do the dance with me. Then it was, as all team/partner sports are, about having the grit to keep driving each other on in the hard times, working through the challenges, seasons, illnesses, and moods, and enjoying the fun together and celebrating the wins. Never giving up on the other partner.
From that first moment when we saw another team practicing together and she fell in a long side me, even when going in the ring to be judged was hard on both of us, we always love the practice and dancing together, learning and mastering new steps. And we are getting better at mastering the ring nerves along the way.
I want to be sure we thank Mark for always being there and encouraging us to see a way through. Our family and friends that supported us, even though I was speaking 'rally talk' *again*. To the trainers and teachers and mentors and ring-mates that tell you, sometimes with a joke, how bad you messed up your dog, and to get back in there a "love the dog you're with." And, of course, to the judges who corrected with kindness, stewards who calmed my nerves, and clubs that worked tirelessly to offer the events. We've averaged 5 days a month with these dedicated people to get to this weekend🤞💛🍀💛 -Team SuzieQ
